Things to know before renting a car with OnCarus
- The minimum rental period is 1 day, you will be charged for 1 day even if you return the car earlier than 24 hours.
- For long-term rentals (over 10 days) you can enjoy a discount!
- Delivery and pick-up time is between 09:00 and 18:00
The security deposit is a fixed amount of €400 and is held as security for the rental vehicle.
- The security deposit can be paid in cash or by credit card.
- The deposit will be returned after the rental period, provided the vehicle is returned in good condition and in accordance with the rental Terms & Conditions.
- If there is any damage, loss, excessive dirt, or other issue for which the customer is responsible under the Terms & Conditions, the corresponding costs may be deducted from the security deposit.
All drivers must provide us with all required original documents and meet the following requirements:
- Be at least 23 years old
- Present a valid identification ID (Passport)
- Present a valid driver’s license for at least 2 years
We don’t charge extra for an additional driver!!
- All drivers must be physically present at the pick-up of the vehicle – no exceptions!!
- All drivers must present their driver’s license and passport.
- All drivers must sign the agreement!
With Basic Protection, the damage excess is €30,000, which equals the full value of the rental vehicle. This means you remain liable for damage, loss, or theft of the vehicle up to this amount, subject to the Terms & Conditions.
You can choose to reduce your maximum liability by purchasing an additional protection package for an extra daily fee:
- Medium Protection – €15/day: Reduces the damage excess to €10,000 and includes Tire Coverage and Windshield Coverage.
- Premium Protection – €20/day: Reduces the damage excess to €3,000 and includes Tire Coverage, Windshield Coverage and Theft Protection.
All rentals include Third-Party Liability Insurance (covering bodily injury and property damage to third parties) and Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) for authorized drivers and passengers.
Depending on the selected protection package, your rental may also include Tire Coverage, Windshield Coverage, Theft Protection, and Off-Road Rescue, with a reduced damage excess.
You can choose one of our optional protection packages:
- Medium Protection (€15/day) – Reduces your damage excess to €10,000 and includes Tire Coverage and Windshield Coverage.
- Premium Protection (€20/day) – Reduces your damage excess to €3,000 and includes Tire Coverage, Windshield Coverage, Theft Protection.
Off-road driving is permitted at the renter’s own risk on suitable unpaved roads and tracks, including sandy patches.
Beaches, driving through water or seawater, and heavy/deep sand dunes are strictly prohibited. Heavy dunes are not recommended due to the risk of getting stuck.
If the vehicle gets stuck due to off-road driving, all recovery and rescue costs are the renter’s responsibility, starting from €300 depending on the location and recovery required.
